How to Use Midjourney Guide: Midjourney Web
Midjourney is a powerful AI tool that generates stunning images from text prompts. While many users are familiar with using Midjourney on Discord, the platform also offers a web-based interface at Midjourney.com. This chapter will guide you through how to use MidJourney web, without the need for Discord.
Accessing Midjourney Web
- Go to Midjourney.com
- Log in to your Midjourney account.
- Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the MidJourney dashboard. This is where you can start creating images, view your gallery, and manage your account.
Generating Images on Midjourney Web
- Step 1: Click on the “Create” button on the dashboard.
- Step 2: In the text box that appears, type your prompt. Be as descriptive as possible to get the best results. For example:
A futuristic cityscape at sunset with flying cars and neon lights, ultra-detailed, 4K resolution.
- Step 3: After entering your prompt, press Enter. MidJourney will start processing your request.
- Step 4: Wait a few moments for the AI to generate the images. Once done, you’ll see a grid of four images based on your prompt.
Refining Your Results
After the initial image generation, you can refine your results:
- Variations: If you want to see different versions of a particular image, check the Vary buttons. Vary Strong button corresponds to high variation, while Vary Subtle corresponds to low variation mode.
- Upscale: If you like one of the generated images, you can upscale it to a higher resolution. The Upscale Subtle option doubles the size of your image and keeps details very similar to the original. Upscale Creative also doubles the size of your image but adds new details to the image.
- Rerun: If you’re not satisfied with the results, click the “Rerun” button to generate a new set of images based on the same prompt.
Managing Your Midjourney Gallery
- All your generated images are stored in the Organize section.
- You can organize your images into folders, delete unwanted ones, or share them directly from the gallery.
- The gallery also allows you to revisit and re-download images at any time.
Tips for Using MidJourney Web
- Be Specific: The more detailed your prompt, the better the results. Include details like style, colors, lighting, and mood.
- Experiment: Don’t be afraid to try different prompts and settings to see what works best.
- Use Parameters: Learn about Midjourney parameters (e.g., --ar 16:9 for aspect ratio) to fine-tune your results.
